Yes i go there as i moved to london and live about 4 miles away. I have to say it is very nice but as Lynn said the waiting isnt! I waited 11 months just to be seen for scleral lenses and only now they are being made, which leaves me another long wait for a fitting.
You need to be referred there, you cant just turn up, unless you are going to a and e. And as the problem i had, if you are registered with a consultant already in another hospital, you have to go back through the gp system and get referred to moorfields. They wont take a direct referral, which is what my hospiatl in wales tried to do when i moved.
I have been too many times now, mainly to a and e, and the queues are just like any other busy city hospital, so sometimes it is best sticking to what you know. The sclerals i would have had in wales, would have come from moorfields anyway which is why i wanted to be refered there. But if that wasnt the case i might not have been in such a hurry!!
