(((Friends))) :)

Just wanted to drop in here and wish you all a very happy New Year!! Am really hoping that you all had a wonderful Christmas, and that you will have no eye problems in 2006!!

I have just finished my three days of work over Christmas, and so have two days off now to drink and celebrate!!! :) Sounds great to me!!!! We had some very traumatic cases in 'A & E' over the last few days, and am just hoping that the families involved can move on and heal in the New Year. (((hugs)))

Also wanted to say a HUGE thank you for everyone who wrote and posted when i was sitting here depressed as i was off on sick leave for so long last summer. For all the funny stories i tried to write, the many poems i used to try to explain, and all the times i came here and shouted, complained, bored everyone silly, used EVERY emoticon here, and made up enough abbreviations to drive everyone crazy, i still had people write and phone me wishing me all the best and hoping for a speedy recovery!!! :) Hehe, that was so dam sweet and just what i needed! LOL!! As most know i am now back in work and am loving it. :) I'm also trying to use the six months sick leave to my advantage and teach nurses some basics on eye complaints and contact lenses. I suppose it would make more sense to me, and through all of this i do seem to have learnt something!! ;)

Lastly, thank you for everyone who has written to me recently saying thanks for the funny stories, poems and for making them laugh :) Hehehe, you know who you are, and all i can say is no problem, i have really enjoyed it!! ;) I have loved being here and trying to make you smile, and want to thank you all for your help and advice. Without you all i wouldn't have had the courage to have had a graft, wouldn't have found a surgeon i trusted, would still feel alone with an eye complaint most have never heard of, and still be in pain with lenses that hated me!! Instead after reading here i am now pain free with piggy backing lenses, have had a graft, and am patiently waiting for better vision!! So i want to thank everyone who wrote in with suggestions! That is indeed what this forum is for, and i really hope that others here can read and get some help as well. It is also nice that some here write and let me know about Moorfields and research, so i guess i kinda fit in somewhere!! LMAO!!!

Thanks to those i met on the social night, i had a lovely time, and am really hoping to meet more of you on another one next year!! Will also try to get to the next annual meeting, just someone please drop me a little line when it gets nearer, as you know i may be bouncing around somewhere and miss it!!!!!! LOL!!

Ok, one last thing ... to all those going to Moorfields in the New Year, be careful!!! There may just be a little welsh Sweet about waiting to pounce on you and learn something!!!!!!!!! :P

Hehe, hoping you have a great time! I am back in work for two days starting tomorrow, but then off for New Year! We have to work one of the holidays, and i want to go and see the fireworks for New Year so it is ok. Although the week of nights starting the next Monday isn't so good! LOL!! But i will just go out New Year and forget that for the minute!

Have fun! Sweet X x X
