KC, Astigmatism and long sight?

Postby Cazie » Sat 19 Nov 2005 11:35 pm

I don't post that much here, because really my KC is very very stable and has been for about 4 years now (I'm 35 in Jan).

I wear glasses after not tolerating contacts and I do well with glasses as my KC is not too bad.

Recently though I've been having trouble with my long sight (never been a problem before and I don't have varifocals).

Is this to do with KC or my astigmatism? I have made an appointment for next week, so will see what happens then, it's been quiet quick in coming in too, about 1/2 mths and I find my eyes are often dry, itchy and I tend to rub them a lot.......

Input appreciated........

Hi there

It would be hard to guess until you have been seen what it happening, but i just wanted to say that i hope you get it sorted soon and get some help with your vision. I just wanted to say as well not to rub your eyes! As there are suggestions that this could be a major problem leading to KC, but also damaging to your eyes generally.

Take care

Hi

Id recommend getting them seen to.....the change seems to be rather quick from what you have said......and if the change is minor it may just be a slight preseciption change?

KC is about facing the challenges it creates rather than accepting the problems it generates -
