Hi Claire,
Glad to see that you're "back with us", and have lots of people flapping round you! A little tip if the steroids sting a bit - keep them in the fridge. The cold drop can be quite refreshing if not a bit of a shock.

At this early stage I would NOT put anything in the grafted eye aside from the medication (unless cleared by the consultant)...Id wait till the Epithelium is compelely healed over.....which should be done and dusted by your friday appointment..........but do check with your consultant before you put any other drops in the eye........

Thanks for that, decided that it really wasn't a good idea to put anything else in this eye until it has been checked so went to bed and kept it shut instead lol!
Today though the pain is less and brufen seems to be doing the trick and while i am still photophobic i can live with that! But things must be ok as i am here managing to see to post! LOL! So i am very positive!
Have an appt tomorrow at 5pm so getting really excited now, i don't see anything yet, it's all really cloudy, but it gets worse before it gets better right? So i am not worrying, as now that the pain is settling i can't feel these stitches as much so that is a relief.

Ha!!! Now could that be implying that i am always here!! LOL, well always floating around somewhere no doubt!! 
Tha appt went really well, found out why i was in so much pain as a tiny piece of stitching had gotten stuck underneath a stitch but has now been removed so everything is ok. The pain is better but i have to be careful as all of a sudden i get a sharp pain as if it is reminding me that it is there! LOL, like i could forget all the stress i had to get it done in the first place, but hey this eye was never important until now so i can't really complain!
I don't really see much at all, it is still cloudy but i'm not really worried as i know it is very early days yet, not even a week! I did have a reading of -16 before and now it is +8 so the surgeon is very happy with that.
Now i just need to play the waiting game, hhmmm, like the last five months off sick was a happy time! LOL!! Oh boy can't wait for the next appt in a months time!

Hey there! Thanks for all your support.
Things are going really well, am now painfree which is nice and can only feel these stitches first thing in the morning before i put drops in, so that is all ok. I don't see any better, but it is atill very early yet, so i am not worried. The only thing that is killing me is not being able to swim as i normally go three to five times a week!! Aargghh ..... hehe, just needing to wait for the ok from my surgeon.
I have a follow up appt at the end of Sept, but as with everything that has gone on recently have three appts with Moorfields and my optometrist before that! Gee!! One is for lens fitting which i don't need on this grafted eye now, but i do need to check the other one when i finish eye drops for iritis next week so that would be a handy second opinion, and one is a follow up from that! So i am sure that i can get this eye looked at and tested before then.
Hehe Sometimes you can't get an appt for love or money, and other times are inundated with too many and see everyone!! But i have learnt to NEVER cancel one as you never know when you will get another one, and it is good i think to have as many opinions as you can!!
I am still off work on sick leave (not just for eyesight) which is bad as SSP is nothing really, but hoping to be back soon. Just needing to ok it with my boss and occ health. It would be really nice to try to get back to normal (is i ever was!) and actually stop being a patient and look after some again, so just waiting now! Hhmm ..... my whole summer has been taken up just doing that ..... waiting!! Oh well, timer has just alarmed for me to take some eye drops!!! Can't forget those!
Will check in with anything new!

Unfortunately, I woke up on Sunday morning, and couldn't focus on anything. 3 hours in casualty later, I finally saw the ophthalmologist who diagnosed "keratic precipitates" - which I think are a mild/early form of rejection (here I go again - number 7!).
I'm back on Maxidex for the moment, and have been advised to see my consultant asap. Still, I'm seeing much better already. I wouldn't have been typing this on Sunday!!

Can I ask what was your symptoms of the rejection?.....aside from the out of focus comment.
You mentioned you have had now 7 cases of Rejection.....have you recovered from all so that the vision has restored to what it was before?
