...funny thing happened to me yesterday whilst on Oxford Street. This guy came upto me whilst I was going back home.....who was from the RNIB.
He looked at me, and started reeling off his script about RNIB and helping blind people....and as I heard what he was saying and walked past..i stopped..in my track turned round and walked up to him.......so he was thankful and started with his script and what his aims are etc.
Basically it was to donate £10 a month to help the RNIB. And the pitch was around blind people and getting back to work and how RNIB helps.etc.....so I proceed to tell him I kinda know what that feels like and I am/was visually impaired..............so I filled it in and agreed to the £10 a month debit etc.
But was just thinking on my way home....why did I stop?..did I stop because this was something that I had first hand experience in?...........and the answer more than likely was Yes.
When I was filling the forms for the debit it made me realise how rude people are..........these people were trying to get peoples attention..and some were just so dam rude.............and more than likely didnt care as they didnt know what it was like to have there vision affected in such a way...............................wierd hey!
Its a funni old game!............one thing that KC does is makes you realise across the board how important it is to help people!...who are less fortunate....

KC is about facing the challenges it creates rather than accepting the problems it generates -

Nice one Jay.
The RNIB do fantastic work and I know many of us including myself have benefited from their expert advice and support.
Point in hand on fundrasing. Not seen an option to donate to the KC group by this method or standing order. I know from my financial perspective sticking a tenner or so in the post to help the group would cripple me. But I could make a small regular contribution if it was viable.
