Morning All
Went to MEH yesterday and saw Ken Pullen. We have decided to opt for trying a scleral with fenestrations from an eye impression.
The eye impression was a doddle so I am now waiting for the next lens fitting.
Ken mentioned that the wearability wasn't as good as ordinary sclerals. I was wondering if anyone else was using this kind of lens and what issues they throw up and how long people are generally wearing them for?
Thanks
Drew

could be of help
I am wearing sclerals with fenestrations made of PMMA. Mine are not moulded ones though. I find the comfort not too bad, for a week into wearing them. The thing i prefer about the fenestrated lenses is not having to fill them with saline before you put them in. So messy.
Cleaning is better as well as you store them dry, uses lot more saline though, and a lot harder to lose down the sink or on the floor. ha ha ha.
