As per other thread (sorry) development of filaments, another picked off today, told any further pain go straight to A&E.

Graft mostly reattached but one bit still resistant, another re-bubbling in 3 weeks

Yes I'm continuing with eye shield, tape is hard on the skin.

I'm using my own blood, Dr gave me lancets for that.
I'll talk with my team next week about autologous serum drops.
I don't know if re-bubbling will still go ahead week after.
This filament condition is really awful

the decision if it is your blood or donor lays with the blood n transplant team not your doctor. They may (like for me due to my other health stuff( decide using your own blood is too much, plus by the time they screen your blood etc they can still say no to your own, it is actually much quicker to have donor blood used fo rthem x

What do you do at night when you can't get to A&E because your good eye has said enough for today with your lens, so you can't navigate?! Cabs are not readily available still because of shortages from covid, and they can't stop outside my block because of roadworks, then Moorfields can't get cabs to go there later in the evening (that's what main reception told me previously), the black cabs which sit outside during the day are not there at night.

Iv been blessed with a couple of phenominal friends whom will wrangle the kids for me if my partner is working away and give me lifts to a&e n back, n sit with me as a "carer" whilst I wait. Eye casualty in Leeds shuts at 5pm mid week n is sat morning only unless pre arranged on a sunday in Leeds so have to go to main a&e and have the triage bleep the duty optom outside hours, but thankfully I do have up my sleeve a direct dial to the mess station where usually a optom is catching up on sleep n doesn't mind being woken at anti social times.
