This is no fun!

Postby Sweet » Sat 11 Jun 2005 4:37 pm

Well i've made it to 6 hours, barely ssshh Spent today travelling to Wales and back, thats kinda all i seem to be doing lately! If i could see better i could help out National Express and take their bus of passengers with me!!

Anyway, now i am hurting and so took this lens out. But i've decided whatever lens i have this is no fun! Why are they all so boring??? I want a different colour or something!!! If i have to wear the dam thing can't someone make it a bit more exciting??!!!! Can't we be as vain as most people with lenses??

Hmmm ... i hear you say no! Ok then, back to the drawing board!!!!!!! Am in serious need of chocolate now!! See you!

Hi Sweet

Im on a downer too you.... Went to Moorfields on Weds to find that Ken had cancelled his clinic but they didn't tell me. Saw another lady who was really good but couldn't fit me with a new Scleral despite spending two hours poking me in the eye - still in pain. Now have to have an eye impression which sounds really scarey.

Still I have a big box of Jaffa Cakes and tesco's have them on BOGOF at the mo so Im contented.

Wonder if you can see through the orangey bit and if amidose disolves them......

LMAO!! I just sat here for a minute trying to work out what the hell BOGOF meant!! LMAO!! Now i see why you asked me before, it doesnt make much sense does it when you dont know what it means!! Hehehe and you can bog off too unless you send me the free packet!!!!!!!!!!!!! ROFL!!!!

Hehe i love jaffas though, i take off all the choccie and leave all the jelly til last, yea like i said before, way too much time on my hands! But please dont talk chocolate im deprived! And as im now in my pj's, early i know, im not getting dressed to go back out!

I am sorry that Ken is still away, i did hear about that and if i'd known you were going i could have let you know!

Sad that you couldnt get a fitting, that is bad. I know how long it takes to get an appointment, and yea ive been poked in the eye too many times over the last two months as well!

Im not really on a downer just tired of the usual glasses question and thought if we have to wear this little piece of plastic cant we have some fun with them! LOL!!! I guess not!

Anyway talk to you soon! Hehehe that is if we can understand the abbreviations!

Sweet... Should we get T shirts made with I can't wear glasses because...... on them. I am also getting fed up with that one, So are my parents who are explaining to their friends. Mind you, you can explain it once to some one and three days later they ask the same question. I feel like I want to say 'Watch my lips'......

Hello all

Well maybe it is the weather or something I don't know but, I too have resorted to Jaffa Cakes on BOGOF at Morrisons though. Hubby did try slipping them back on the shelf but I sensed it and back in the trolley they went.

I find trolley driving quite good therapy with no lenses in, run down all those rude people who keep asking really silly questions, like why don't you fall over if you can't see??? Well it's my eyes you see that are naff not my centre of balance or my legs.

As for the t-shirt well I think this is a splendid idea and did fancy one a couple of years ago when the silly questions started. Now sevral years on I am thinking about handing flyers out as I go, especially to those who should know better, after all with my lenses in my eyes look huge and with them out they are pointy and get screwed up a lot, should be easy enough for a sighted person to notice.

best wishes

Susan

PS warm weather always brings out the worst in me and my eyes.
