Run in families

Anyone KC run in families. Like 50/50chance passed down.

There are some families with more than one family member with KC, but they are the minority. Most KC is 'random' with no one else in the family being affected. About 13% of cases involve other family members, though KC can skip generations and it takes several different genes to come together for KC to develop. There is quite a bit of research going on into the genetics of KC so hopefully we'll know more in the future.

I hope it isnt genetic as would hate my daughter to end up how Iam, but at least if she does il be fighting her corner as know what is ahead x
May09 Diagnosed with KC, March 2010 after a failed transplant it has left me legally blind a long cane user (since 2010) who is blind in a once sighted world
