Postby ylogde » Sun 02 Dec 2018 8:37 pm

Hi guys, im new this forum and have been diagnosed with KC. my right eye is worse than my left. they had given me rgp lenses which didnt suit so have been given scleral lenses. iv had them for about 4 days - wearing them for 2 hours a day. for some with the lenses in i can still se double with my right eye, left one is fine, is this normal as my eye is getting used to it, there are no airbubbles, any help would be appreciated. thanks

Hi. First well done for what sounds like really great handling and wearing of your new lenses which will hopefully be a more comfortable option. I personally have not experienced double vision as a result of wearing scleral lenses but if I had I would want to talk to the Optometrist who fitted the lenses as soon as possible. I wonder if the double vision is present when the lenses are not in? and if so I think it important to report this as a new symptom. I do hope you can soon get a satisfactory answer and wish you all the best for building up your wearing time.
