Primary failure of cornea graft

Postby Kerry Mc » Wed 04 May 2016 6:42 pm

I had a graft in June 2015, which was deemed to have failed in February 2016. I had it redone yesterday, and awoke to be told that ther had been complications during surgery, my eye"went black and soft" There were four eye consultants on site, non had experienced this before. Today I can only see light/dark, although the consultant said this was better than he expected but is still investigating the cause, has anyone else had similar? I am concerned as to whether my sight will return.

This is extremely rare - I don't think we've ever had anything similar reported on the forum. You've certainly been through the mill in the last year and I'm sure everyone here will be wishing you well and hoping things will improve.
