The risk as in the risk of anything going wrong? In theory, it should be safer than epi-off as the epithelium isn't completely removed, limiting the chance of getting an infection (which is small anyway)
The main reason I've read about epi-on not being recommended as such is because it doesn't penetrate as deep as therefore isn't as permanent... meaning you may need a repeat procedure in the future. Have you expressed your concern to your consultant? He put my mind at rest when I really needed it.
Can't decide if I should get Cross Linking. Advice?!?

I am more worried about it making my eye sight worse. I have read many people who have lost lines on the eye chart. That freaks me out. How you been doing Cripps?

Do you have any links for people that have lost vision acuity permanently? I've read about cases like this but they have only ever been temporary from my findings...
Way too soon to tell on my left eye. Saw my consultant today and he said I was just extremely unlucky that my hazing has occurred in the dead centre of my eye
said when it does happen to other people, usually it's off to the side somewhere and doesn't effect people that much! Just my bloody luck.

I'm not good with links but I have ready many people going from lime 20/40 to 20/100 even a year later. Thats what worries otherwise I would not be worried at all.

Well I decided to cancel. I may still get it done but at a later time. See what everything is looking like this spring. How are you coming along Cripp, I hope all is well!

Well at least you've made a decision
I knew if I cancelled I'd be forever thinking 'what if' so I had to stop myself going mad. No improvements for me, but I don't expect anything for months yet unfortunately. Been signed off from work for the rest of the month and have just cancelled my car insurance! Making everything a pain I must admit, plus I'm getting bored of day time television...

Well hopefully you improve soon. I agree I will go mad thinking what if also but I'll probably do it this spring. Just didn't have it in me to do it right now with the holidays and all.

Did you do epi on or off? Is your vision back? Glad to hear it was a success!! Explain your experience if you would.
