It is with regret that Lynn has decided not to participate on the forums any longer.

On behalf of everyone here, I'd like to thank Lynn for her time and patience, and the support that she has provided many people on here.

Lynn, if you're still reading this, I'm sure everyone sends you their best wishes for the future.

All the best Lynn, and thanks for *all* the advice. Much appreciated.

Honestly, what has been going on this weekend?!? I return after a few days away to find that *something* has gone on, 2 people have publicly announced they're leaving, and all over what exactly?!? It's very hard to tell.

I also find the relevant details have now been censored, so I guess those who didn't witness it will never know and consequently will never be able to make up our own minds... I've never liked censorship in the past and like it even less now.

Still, I'm hoping the forum can still continue to be a useful resource for us KC'ers otherwise I wouldn't have bothered posting this msg.

Best wishes everyone
Graeme

Lynn,

Sorry you felt you can longer offer the others advise. I wish you luck and look forward to viewing the work you are doing on your own site.

Many thanks

I go along with GraemeH.

This all seems bloody ridiculous to me. I too have no idea what's been going on this weekend, but whatever it is, if it deprives this forum of two interesting members then it's a poor show.

My only comment would be that I could understand it if Lynn felt she was becoming a bit of an 'On-line' Optometrist. She seemed to be getting Q's from a lot of people. That could potentially put her in a difficult position, and we do live in something of a litigious society. That I could understand.

But Lynn's words on here have been innovative, interesting, comforting, amusing and have brightened this board up no end. This is after all a debating chamber and if some members don't like what they read, you have the right to reply...and the right to ignore.

Lynn (and Sweet). I hope you'll reverse your decision(s), it is a great shame and rejoin us as more of a social member.

By the way, I am using Systane for the first time today...you are a bloody marvel for haing brought it to my attention...my thanks. Come back soon...in fact don't leave!!

Dont Leave Lynn

Postby Hannah Pye » Tue 10 May 2005 10:52 am

Lynn please dont leave this group, you have provided the most useful information, that has helped not only me, but others on here. I personally have been most grateful on the advice you have given, and am certainly gratefully for actually meeting you, and cannot wait to get the lens you have measured me for this week. There could be others like myself who can also make the freedom of choice, and without you and others like yourself there can be no choice, SO PLEASE dont leave

What the hells happened here? I go away have a graft cme back and two people dissapear!!!

Lynn , for what its worth I can understand how you must have felt..whilst I dont EXACTLY know what went on and what was said I have a good idea from the posts that remain and the person involved.

I hope you do reconsider coming back.....as you are valued greatly here and I am sure many will agree on that.....

see it like this "some people have people skills others dont"......

Also same goes for "Sweet" I do hope after a day or too you may see that your participation in the forum can only aid and help you and that opinions are like a**holes we all have them lol.....I just ignore the ones I dont like.........:-)

So smile, cheer up and help yourself as well as us.

Agree with all above!

It was great to have a 'professional' on here to give hints, tips and an insight into the optomertry (spl) profession that our own Doctors simply dont have the time to tell us about.

Your presence on the forum was a 'safety net' to many Lynn, and I refer back to my earlier post regarding how much life has been breathed into this forun recently.

I understand your reasons, it's s great loss on a purely selfish level for me but I know you have your reasons!

Thanks again,

Dave.

You guys sure do make it difficult!

I cannot - for various reasons - go into why I have left this forum...

I have really enjoyed my time here and although you say you have benefited from my advice.. I think I have gained a lot more.

It has really opened my eyes (agghh - scuse the pun) as to how you all cope with KC and the frustrations you have.

What is heartwarming is the support you give each other and the humour you bring to situations that would floor most "normal" people.

That is your strength... this is essentially a KC support group - you support each other.. and this is as it should be.

Thank you all again... you are special people!

Lynn
