Lynn - to report back. I have now been using Systane for a week and it has been absolutely fantastic. I am putting one or two drops in 15 mins prior to inserting the lenses as you suggested and and - wow - what a difference. I can almost feel the 'film' over the cornea and hence the lens sits comfortably on the cornea and is really comfortable all day. As you said no need to re apply. Once again - thank you for the advice. This may make a huge difference to many of us out there.

Gillian!!
Excellent!! I must say I am usually cynical about new products as they are usually just rehashed versions of old ones - but this really does work amazingly well.
I am so glad this was of help and I do urge others to try it as increase in wearing time of lenses is so important!
If anyone else tries and finds it helpful - or otherwise - please report back and then we can get some decent statistics together which will help in assisting patients generally.
Thanks again
Lynn

Well.....one week into the Systane to and although not 'feel' the difference it does help to lubricate my eye and I guess help to reduce the chance of my cornea being scared, as it was twice last year due to the lens drying out and rubbing.
For the money its great and much easier to put in at night than my lacrilube and I guess it does a simliar job before I go to bed at night?
I will certainly buy more when I have used my 4 bottles!
Thanks for the tip off Lynn,...I'll be telling Mr Morgon when I see him next....share the wealth!!
Dave.
