Cannot open my eyes in the sun!

Hello im having severe trouble opening my eyes in the winter sun , i bought some polarized sunglasses which i thought would cure this problem ? doesnt make any difference at all , does anybody have any thoughts or experience the same problem ? and are there any sunglasses that black out the light , im finding it difficult with this sensitivity to sun light it seems to be getting worse and worse .

I use ski sunglasses. I do have a pair of prescription snow glasses, but if I'm not driving I am just as happy in the ski specs I bought from a local outdoor store.

Thanks Andrew i will try these as you say , seen the goggles , didnt realise they sold them in glasses form ? thanks.
