Hi All,
I am new to the site and I am very sorry if this question has been asked before (I have search but it didn't pull anything up)
What rating does your Keratoconus have to be before you are classed as having a disability ? I know it's a strange question...
Any help would be great

I am no expert on the question but I would say it depends on how much it affects your day to day life

Hi Germanti,
As Chris says it's how it affects your life. If you can wear contact lenses, which give you good vision, all day and every day then you haven't really got a disability. But if some reason you can't wear those lenses and glasses don't give you enough vision then you can feel very disabled.
We had an interesting discussion during the summer with the title:
New Sight Registration possibility for KC: Input needed
Have a look at the thread and you will see how this variable vision affects different people.
