Hi to all,
I am Yannis from Greece, I am 40 years old and I live with Keratoconus the last 20 years.
I am lucky that keratoconus is moderate to both eyes and has been stabilised.
I use Ciba Softperm with 10/10 vision and spectacles with 6/10 vision. I wear lens 8-9 hours while working and spectacles for the rest of the day.
Unfortunately Ciba discontinued Softperm so I am looking for alternative lens and I will try KerasoftIC.
I have read that forum members are pleased with Kerasoft and I hope that I will have good VA, comfort and with Dk 60 to be able to wear all waking hours without harming my eyes.

Γεια σας και καλώς ήρθατε στο φόρουμ. Είναι καλό για να χαιρετήσει έναν άλλο φίλο στην Ελλάδα.
In case there are users whose Greek is even rustier than mine, and in case my Mac's Greek Alphabet proves not to be stable across platforms, I was saying hello to yannis and welcoming him to the forum. I was saying also that it was good to be able to welcome a new friend from Greece.
Yannis, it is good to know that you are doing so well; we all hope that this will continue.

Re: Hello
Thank you Andrew, it seems that I am lucky considering other Keratoconus patients.
If Kerasoft IC fit well to my eyes I will be just fine.
I wish the best for all.
Yannis
PS your Mac's Greek Alphabet works pretty good, I am not sure about my English

Hi Yannis
I am a consultant to the company that makes the KeraSoft IC and met with the distributors for Greece not so long ago (excellent people!). If you have any queries, I will be very glad to answer them for you.
Where about in Greece are you? I am afraid my Greek is non existent!

Re: Hello
Hi Lynn,
Thank you very much for your interest, I am in Athens and I have appointment next Tuesday to try KerasoftIC.
I hope that the optometrist has good experience in fitting the particular lens. I think that my case will be relatively easy, I attach a corneal topography if you want to take a look and tell me your opinion if Kerasoft IC can be fitted succesfully.
I read that Kerasoft IC has excellent Dk of 60 or 53 but I couldn't find info about Dk/t that other manufacturers usually mention for 3D. Do you know this value ? Surely will be higher than transmissibility 17.5 (ISO) of Softperm's RGP part but I am just curious how much higher.
I will let you know about fitting procedure and my vision with Kerasoft IC.

Re: Hello
I forgot to mention that I didn't wear lens during summer vacation so next Tuesday it will be about 1 month wearing only spectacles. I hope that most of cone adaptation from Softperm's RGP center will be completed so if fitting goes well and I order the lens prescription will be final.

Re: Hello
I tried Kerasoft IC lens and they feel great but my vision was not as good as with Sofperm.
I had 9/10 with over refraction but I didn't like that some ghosting remained around light sources.
Anyway I decided to order a pair hoping that my vision will be good enough with the comfort of soft lens.
