Hi all
Just to update you following my one-week check-up:
Consultant seems happy - back to see him in 3 or 4 weeks. Still on 4 drops a day till then.
All seeming too good to be true at the minute if I'm honest - no pain to speak of, just the occasional twinge and a bit of a tired, itchy, contact lens-y feeling. No redness or anything. Just keeping my fingers firmly crossed and trying to take it easy and avoid rubbing, dust etc because I know there's always the possibility of problems arising.

Well done!
I used a plastic eye-shield to prevent rubbing at night, and always had artificial tears on hand to remove rhe temptation to rub during the day.
Take things easy.
Every good wish
Andrew

Artificial tears might be a good idea Andrew - I meant to ask my consultant if that sort of thing was OK to use. Anything I should be watching out for? Do I risk 'washing away' my medical eye drops if I use other drops too soon afterwards, or anything? Any brands you'd recommend?

until you can ask your consultant which artificial tears you can use (or you can obtain some) use a wetted (either warm or cold which ever works for you) facecloth across the eyes - it is an amazing relief to itchy eyes...
I havent had a graft but find that a cool facecloth on bad days when going sleep stops me from waking up with red eyes - should have used it last night...
