Twitching Eyelid

Postby jamesar » Fri 25 Sep 2009 7:59 am

Proper term is Blepharospasm. I have been having this twitching eyelid in my right eye (non-operated in eye) for 4 days now and am freakin out a bit!
Has anybody else experienced this problem? I need some soothing words :(

I get a twitching eyelid, usually when very tired or very stressed. it is as annoying as hell as I can see it happening, and on occasions my husband can as well

If you are at all concerned just give your opticians/eye clinic a call for reassurance.

Yup; I'd pop along to the clinic for some reassurance, but like Liz, I get this twitch when I am overtired. There is never a convenient moment to start 'winking' at people

#There is no problem dropping by your closeest clinic, nothing worse than it iritating you and know knowing why,
May09 Diagnosed with KC, March 2010 after a failed transplant it has left me legally blind a long cane user (since 2010) who is blind in a once sighted world

blepharospasm may be a bit of an extreme diagnosis for a twitching eyelid . have it looked at though always best to have peace of mind
