Welcome to the forum

Yes, sutures can be a bit distracting; have you tried lubricating your eye with artificial tears? I use clinitas, others use Systane and some use hypromelose or carbomber.

If stitches are still feeling uncomfortable, contact your consultant just to make sure a stitch hasn't worked loose which can sometimes happen.

the irratible feeling is something that accompanies dry eye, so may be worth trying some drops. Like Andrew i currently use the Clinitas range, other people find different drops that work for them. It may be with giving it a go, see if it helps.

My eyes get sore, dry and red when i am tired, stressed or workng long hours in front of a computer (yes i am back to constant red eyes again, and thats without wearing contact lenses this time), so i have to increase the use of the eye drops at these times.

To get the best diagnosis as to why this is happening would be to discuss it with your optom or consultant. It could be dry eye related to what you do at work so no harm in discussing it with them.

It's in yours and your employers best interest to make sure you are comfortable at work, for example if you are dong a lot of data entry on a computer it would be a reasonable adjustment for an employer to reduce the amount of data entry and computer use and give you alternative duties.

Employers have a legal duty to make reasonable adjsutemnts to accomodate peoples disabilities and post operative recovery.

If your employer has an occupational health department it is always good to get them involved to when you talk about the eye irritation with your supervisor.

The problem might just be stitches, but you have to look at all the posibilities to rule them out, that way the management of such issues becomes easier in the long run.

I have the same thing, i am 11 months post graft and i cant wait for them to come out. hopefully 3rd Nov
I have a lot of lid irritation which tends to lead to daily red eye and styes. I think from where the stitches are tight and are creating bumps and pits (the bouncy castle effect i call it. see attached photo)
I can imagine that this is what it is...
