Hope everyone is well and enjoying the nice weather!?! I've no posted for a whiley, but i've ben visiting.
Just a quick update that I feel the need to share with people who can actually understand my excitment.
I had my cataract op nearly 2 months ago, and have to admit, the anaesthetic needle in the eye was worse than the whole transplant experience!
Anyway, thanks to the skill and expertise of my consultant and optician, I am currently waiting delivery of my brand new contact lens which will take my corrected vision to....6/6!!! My lens prescription has gone from a -10 to a -3!
When I woke the morning after the cataract I was so surprised that I could actually see things better out of my bad eye than my good (without lens), I cant wait to see the difference with my lens.
Before I got my graft 2 and a half years ago, I could barely make out the colours of things right in front of my nose. There were times when I questioned whether I had done the right thing, but I am so very glad and grateful that I did. Even if I couldnt be fitted with a lens, the fact that my bad eye is now better than my good eye (without lens), makes me happy.
Those who have recently had grafts, be patient

Thanks for putting up with me over the past few years, it really has helped
