Hello,
Thanks Lynn for your view. I have been now able, to sort of put-together what the Dr. at Luzern Eye Hospital ment.
His assistant had put me on a number of machines that printed out data and pictures of my eyes. And one measurement was to count the number of cells on the back layer of the cornea. With this result he was not very happy. Also it seems tthat the Keratoconus has maybe progressed around the graft (in a centrifugal manner), causing weaker tension in some areas, resulting in the stronger astigmatism i now have.
Well anyway I have already commenced to getting an appointment at another specialist place called "IROC" here in Zürich to get another view. (any place could be more friendly ).

Ahhh
Then things are starting to make sense! At least you now have some idea of what to ask at your new appointment - and don't be afraid to take notes! Let us know how you get on.

Re: Silicone hydrogel lenses
Thanks Lynn, Sorry about the late reply, I don't get around to checking my computer very often. I was wondering why I was the only person doing this extended wear with the piggy back, now I know. Now that it is winter the snow and ice keeps the dust down and I can wear the RGP only (the piggy back is mostly a comfort issue for me regarding dust). Is this (RGP only) also as bad regarding extended wear. The RGP only is what I have done for 9 years sleeping with them in almost always. I have started taking them out every nite but do hate it , I am much happier leaving them in. Were the potential problems you spoke of mostly related to the 2 lens system or are problems just as likley with the 1 lens(RGP) . I know I sound like I am grasping at straws here. Regards Ryan
