I am currently booked in for intac surgery in may. Only in the right eye.
i was just wondering how much time everyone on average has off of work.
The doctor has said since the operation is on Wednesday, i should be right to go back to work on the monday.
My left eye is fairly normal vision, hence why i can cope so far without aids. i think my left compenstates for my right.
I can still read the bottom line on the eye chart! lol. with my left.
From everyones personal experience, do you feel this is enough time, or does it vary from person to person?

Re: Time off Work??
We had a surgeon speak to the Scottish Support Group about Intacs. He said "a couple of days" off work.
I know that this does not count as personal experience, but it may be an indicator.

Re: Time off Work??
Hi I have had them fitted and it took alot longer than a couple of days. I really struggled with the light sensitivity and my vision didn't return to a good state until a month later. It all depends everyone seems to be different and I suppose it depends what job you do, and if you have to drive. I couldn't drive for a month. It really does depend I know some people have returned to work after a week. I suggest to just bear in mind it could be longer.

I had a week with the op on the Monday. I felt okay by Thursday/Friday, but when I went back to work the week after my eye got really tired in the afternoons and I suffered a few mild headaches.
