Yes there will be lathe cut Silicone Hydrogel lenses available for KC - I am working with them right now - since I joined Ultravision who makes them. They will correct up to 11.00 dioptres of astigmatism and will be officially launched quite soon. Gareth has been trying them though he wasn't allowed to say much in the development stage!!
However.....the symptoms you are describing are more down to the settling after the intacs and the changes in your prescription. Your brain has had to cope with quite a sudden change in the way you see and often it takes a while for it to come to terms with all the changes. Problems with light is a typical reaction of the eye to any trauma or disturbance - I vividly remember getting a bad viral eye infection just as I was doing my professional exams years ago (probably the stress!) and having to hide behind the sofa in the dark and peek between my fingers over the back just to try and catch a glimpse of TV as I couldn't stand any light whatsoever!
It WILL settle but patience is required!

Re: Intacs update
Thank you for your encouragement. Just being to learn that patience plays an important part in the KC game! Great to hear about the new soft lenses too!
Re: Intacs update
Just a quick update. I had an appointment at the opticians yesterday and was able to see 6/18 in my intacs eye - an improvement from my last visit when I could only see 6/24. He tried me also with a soft lens under my glasses (with no perscription on) which seemed to help a little and reduce the light distortions.
Fingers crossed things might improve a little more.
