Hello

I just want to say Hello to everyone. :D I am 31 and live in Northern Ireland.

I have had a problem with the vision in my left eye for 7-8 years, never knew what the problem was or what had caused. Was referred to an eye clinic a long time ago and was told I was short sighted in the left eye and long in the right. I did get glasses but these did nothing to improve the sight and I have not tried contacts as yet. At the moment I can cope without any aids.

I went along for a routine eye test last Monday to a new optician, who was able to tell me the condition was Keratoconus. I have it in the left eye and it is sub clinical in the right. So after all these years now I know what it is.

So I thought I would join this forum to speak to others who have this condition. I also suffer from Rheumatiod Arthritis as well.

Thanks John. Yes, I have to agree, it has put my mind at ease and be able to find out information on the condition.
