I'm glad to hear you've come up with a good solution to your painful lenses Michael.
I went down the same avenue as you and tried piggybacking. It hasn't worked out for me though and I have an appt Tues to see what my next option is.
The piggybacking is driving me insane. The lenses never stay where they are supposed to and my vision isn't clear.. it's very hard to describe. It's not blurry, but as though looking underwater at times or with some kind of glare off the soft lenses. I'm putting it down to air bubbles, but I guess will find out more on Tues.
All the best with your lenses.. I hope you continue to have success!

Kirsten, i am sorry to hear piggybacking has not worked for you. Generally speaking I am pretty happy but am still struggling getting the soft lenses in and no doubt practice will make perfect. The lack of oxygen thing is still something that bothers me
A soft lens made by Accuity was mentioned to me as a possible alternative although for some reason the lens was not immediately available at the eye clinic but could hopefully be soon.
Take a look at the link below. The Soft K lenses may be the ones in question but I can't say for sure. They were specifically designed for KC sufferers.

I would be interested to know if anybody has any information or come across .these lenses
