Would it be good, or would it be torture to have to live out your life in the years just before you were born?
I think the Nightingale storyline was very interesting: she was glad of the new beginning, although she could not be the same person. Also the Doctor's medically qualified companion ended up working in a shop, of necessity denying her skill and vocation as a physician.
The whole episode raised many questions. Good one!

I think it was Roger Delgado. He even wore black gloves so that there was a suggestion of a claw rather than hand. Really sinister!
The new one looks pretty scary too, although in a different way; he is scary because he is looks so normal.
To be continued ... three of the most frustrating words in the English language!

I think John Simm is an excellent actor. A couple of points though:
* I'd like him to keep the pseudo-Edwardian costume he's wearing now. It marks him out as being a Time Lord. Shame it won't happen though.
* I'd like him to sport a saturnine beard, just as Delgado and Ainley did. Pratt didn't, but then his Master was somewhat ...err... green! Roberts didn't, either. And that's probably the point. Shame it won't happen though.
* It was a shame that they had to regenerate the Master so casually; and to such a young-looking actor (Sorry, Lou!). Great actor as he is, I just don't think he has that evil gravitas needed for the part. I hope to be proven wrong here.
* Finally, we need the Master to be a recurring villian. I only hope that John Simm manages to stay with the part for the 2-3 episodes a year that are required to make the Master a truly memorable villain once again.
