We had a Bollywood film made in the town where I work! It was wonderful: the film crew set up in various parts of the town .. a lawyer's office (outside) was tarted up to look like a restaurant, an empty shop was tarted up to look like a florist, a building society office became a bookies shop .. the stars were about the town and ever so often we all had to hold our breath while they filmed this scene or that.

I was hoping to make a come back to my career as an extra (Monty Python and the holy Grail), but although I stood about the place trying to look like an authentic local character, authentic and local did not seem to be the effect they were going for.

Now I am looking forward to the film coming onto the television, so that I can see what they made our wee town look like. Meantime it is doing the rounds of cinemas.

We also have television films made here. The side of our Church appeared in a couple of episodes of Rebus pretending to be in Edinburgh. :D
