I didn't fortunately - used the wetting/conditioning stuff & saline - but a timely reminder thanks!

It's a BIT more comfortable now - but not a lot!

I go by the simple rule, if the lens is hurting, take it out and give it a quick clean. If it still hurts after that, give up and allow the eye to recover.

The discomfort might still be there having cleaned the lens if you battled on for longer than you should.

All part of the learning curve which shows how we take these little things for granted until someone such as yourself new to lenses asks a question. Otherwise we would have mentioned it earlier when you were asking for advice about how best to get used to the lenses

If my lens gets painful i take it out and rinse it with conditioning solution and then try again. If it is still painful out it comes again and i put some systane in my eye and leave it for about ten minutes.

If your eye is painful it is trying to tell you something and if you try too hard it will cause problems.

Take care, Sweet X x X

Thanks for all your advice and support - it is really good to have it - I guess I would be worrying a lot more if I didn't have this group to turn to.

Don't worry you can't scare me Sweet - I'm on month 5 sickie now!! What's a few more! (apart from poverty!)

Managed 2hrs 15 mins today in the end after following Michaels advice - and more systane. Wasn't too bad. Getting there slowly...tomorrow is another day..

Only place it seems to feel really sore is upper outer edge of eyelid - and that soreness goes when I take the lens out.

But I can't get rid of this infuriating lens edge at the moment..
