I was told six weeks and then gentle exercise up to three months. I live half way up a steep escarpment, and was told that I should not walk up the hill until the three month mark.

All the best, Mohammed. I'd ask the ophthalmologist for the all clear before starting anything too strenuous. He will be able to judge the condition of your grafted tissue, and advise accordingly.

Jay' Three weeks check up, i asked about exercise he said that i would be fine then said i would also be ok to go swimming! I didn't even ask.

I then joked with him saying that i wouldn't tell the kids that i had the ok to swim!!!

I guess he could tell that i don't weight train or do anything to strenuous
But i was suprised too.

20 years ago I was back exercising and swimming within a couple of months.

I really think may surgeons are over cauteous in that no exercise for six months and you must use the medication for a year or so. To me this prevents the body building any resilience to anything and we become reliant on the medication.
