Pitty I could not see at all then :oops:

Had an allergic reaction to my lenses which is all you need when speaking about responsible lens wear! At least the problem did not come back this summer, so that is one extra thing under control.

Glad you like my presentation, I have been unable to bring myself to look at that part of the DVD :lol:

Thanks Committee for the dvd, just watched a bit. Did someone faint at the sight of the surgery?
I've seen a transplant done in the flesh when I did ODA training 20 years ago as I had a placement in the eye hospital. It was amazing to watch though the trephine did make my knees go weak for a few secs. When you can see it on the screen, the eye looks beautiful.

Did I hear right regarding long term survival that some eyes need to be re-grafted after 25 years? Hope not..

Fainting

Hmmm... Yes, someone did faint during the conference. (It's the bit during John Dart's presentation where there's an obvious "spin" edit).

And yes, that person was me! :oops:

It was as John Dart was describing all the things that could go wrong post-graft. I'd just sufferred from my sixth rejection, the heat was stifling, and it all got a bit much for me :cry: .

I watched the dvd last night and can honestly say I learnt more from the dvd than I have in the 7 years since I was diagnosed with KC!! Big thanks to everyone involved with it.

I also want to say thank you for sending the DVD of the conference. It was really informative.

I was particularly interestead in the discussion on accupuncture and how it can help prolong lens wearing time. Ken was a great speaker, and so were you Gareth.

Once agin thanks to everyone involved in putting the DVD together.
