The upside of having a problem with my 'seeing eye' is that it focused attention on the need to do something about my spare.
On October 27 they will start to bring my spare eye back into commission by doing a DALK graft. I look forward to having binocular vision, however briefly, when my left eye is open again for business.

Andrew, that is so good news. Nothing is like the feeling when you can see again. Slowly or rapidly, all the same. I have had two such periods in life. The first when I got my first RK lenses as a 13 year old boy. Secondly now this last year, with lasik correction of old graft and new graft. I wish you all the same experience and the joy of seeing. Nothing compares to that.

John
Will get the answers at my next hospital appt in september.
They will pursue a wait and see policy with the cataract. In any case it is too soon to operate on it just now, although they do think that the cataract is the cause of the change to my post graft astigmatism.
At last, a date.

Pre theatre appointment arrived today. Ten days before surgery: October 17.
A visit to cardiology to make sure that my heart still beats then up to the ward to be poked and prodded. They will ask me if I know what is to happen, and I'll pretend not to be afraid of the whole procedure.
