We're back!

Postby John Smith » Tue 29 Aug 2006 9:07 am

Apologies to all for the lack of service since about 6pm on Saturday.

For some strange reason still under investigation, the server running the website rebooted itself at about 17.49 on Saturday, then it worked for about 10 minutes... then stopped.

Being a bank holiday weekend, we couldn't get to the server to reboot it again until this morning.

Hopefully, it'll stay up for another 9 months before the next reboot!

:D

for my part, I'm just glad the forum is back. If anything I did made it go away, I unreservedly apologize. Tell me what it was and I'll not do it again.

I have no doubt that in the fullness of time John will be able to explain all.

By the way I don't know what happened to the site, but I do know what happened to the keepers on the Flannan Islands Lighthouse. The Marie Celeste remaims a mystery.
