:D I know, life is unfair: I did say "American Medical Malpratice Lawyer"

John you just need to know that we are all with you on this. You seem to have suffered an unusual number of reverses with your KC, yet every time you have come back being positive and looking for the next opprotunity. Through it all you have gone on giving stalwart service to the KC community through this site.

You are an example to us all.

I still think it is an absolute scandal that in something as delicate as eye surgery bits of litter can get into the cornea and be sewn in place.

Hi John

I have never heard of DALK before and have just read your blog. It is truely amazing what you have been through with your KC. Like others I am amazed that a foreign body was allowed to be sewn into the eye. I wish you well with everything and look forward to reading your progress reports.

John, best wishes to you on your progress, I think you have done very well so far to get over the advance stages of the pre-op waiting and post-op recovery and have wrote up an excellent account in your blog.

The only thing that crossed my mind about the foreign body is, does it show up on topography? and does it interfer with the profile of your "new cornea" and so your vision?... If it does not then that would be some great news! it may even help in some strange way! ...I hope so!

Good luck to you John!

That's an interesting point; I've not had a topography done since the graft, but I'll try and remember to ask him about that when I see him next Friday.

I am quite shocket that a foreign body drops into the eye between the pocesses like this. I would think that every hospital performing this kind of surgery would make sure this would be impossible to happen.

All the best to you now. Hopefully this will not affect the gtaft.
