Yes you do. Now go lay down drink lots of fluid and have a steak or 3.

Seriously (actually the top bit was serious) take it as easy as you can. Do not stress about the neuro consult. You can not change anything and you also will not know anything until your consult. You can however increase fluid and iron intake which will help the dehydration and may help the anaemia. You also will be really tired so listen to your body and rest.

All I can add is I am sending positive thoughts and prayers your way.

Thinking of you

Sweet

You certainly seem to have managed to get out of kilter. I had a problem with dehydration and my doc looked sternly at me and asked "how much water do you drink?"

I started to count cups of tea and coffee, soft drinks (with caffeine) and the occasional glass of wine. He explained that diuretics like caffeine actually dehydrate the system.

he tol me that I had to drink 2 litres of water every day. WATER, he stressed.

I do that now. I buy bottles of water and make sure that I drink at least the 2 litres.

And then I am able to enoy coffee and tea and the occasional glass of wine.

I think that fruit like grapes etc would also be a good source of hydration as well as a very nice way of giving yourself a little treat!

Take care, Sweet. You are important to us all. Eat lots of the stuff you need to overcome your anemia.

All the best

Andrew

Sweet,

A few months back you were saying how hard it was at work to have regular drinks and so on so that could not of helped.

I think you should make them aware of that. In the mean time build your strength up.

Drink lots of water, fruit juices do not count as hydration but do as one of the fruits you need per day so the Vit C will help. Sounds like the high protein low carb Atkins diet for you.

Wimbledon should help aleviate the dehydration problem as it always rains during the tennis :D
