In the 3 minutes it took me to post a reply to Reality in the General discussion Forum there were a further 11 viewings of his thread. Very intersting

Lol, why is that interesting?....I can only imagine people like to read it to humour the thread and not actually take it any further........

I must admit that I think it is quite sad - this individual clearly believes the old wives' tale.

Unfortunately, as has been pointed out to him, one or two reports does not make a scientific conclusion. There is no evidence that KC would not have developed had he abstained; but this isn't being understood.

Alas, I've had to lock the thread as it was becoming abusive rather than constructive.

Well Jay I just find it fascinating that so many hits have been made on a thread which was obviously going to be, shall we say, salacious and almost certainly was a wind up.
There are many more deserving threads which have received far fewer viewings.
Of course, i also viewed the thread; human nature.

That kind of response is uncalled for and offensive to say the least. I'm sorry but when you come out with that kind of thing, people are not going to be very amenable to helping you. This is a great support group, and people have tried to support you by giving you some constructive suggestions in the other thread.

Reality

You seem to have some deeper issues here my friend. Your post was replied to in a serious manner on the fisrt page! Which bit of that advice did you not understand?

Further more, its been made clear that the vast majority of KC affected people do not have the same issue as you! So we cant help you here!..

Its that simple......Id suggest noone else gives this vilage idiot any more board space as we have tried to help the challenged fool but to no avail!

Jayuk,

Yes Reality has some other issues which unfortunatly if people had looked at his post from the other perspective and asked;

Why do you feel the way you do?

The post would have taken a different twist. If people had taken the time to see beyond what was posted you would soon realise that perhaps Reality is not the village idiot but those who jumped to conclusions which is so often the case on forums, especially when something so out of the ordinary is posted.

You may have noticed that Reality has edited the post from this morning which I requested and was done. This I feel should be acknowledged and the person given at least some credit for being reasonable.

To everyone please think carefully about what you are reading and carefully consider your responses.

The replies to this thread have been far from constructive to the group and this forum.

I urger everyone to accept what has happend and move on before I request John to lock this thread too.
Gareth

Gareth

You also missed the point! as well which is dissappointing! He was taken very seriously on his first page!....and also in my previous response!.....and went on to ignore peoples post...and ALSO..mite I add, that the previous simlar post was also answered with an honest approach....

You fail to remember that this place is for KC, not to sore out peoples other issues......if they have other issues they need to seek help from the respective channels (which were mentioned)...else we lose vision and focus on what this place is about......whilst I understand that you may want to help all in problems....the realist in me says thats not possible!.

Think you may need a reality check Gareth and re-read the first locked thread.......and also may want to consider that we cant help people with wider issues here.......(if thats the case)

I can understand that listening and aiding people with other issues can make one feel good both morally and socially; but sometimes it does more harm then good to continuing in that path when you have limited experience in peoples issues.

Remember - this place is for KC....and as far as I can see his post was answered with good recommendations which he chose to ignore.....now if he needs molly coddling in PM than I am sure you have done more than a good job in helping him....but I am just dissappointed in your post and its meaning to posters on this board who ALWAYS go out of there way to help people!

And as far as getting posts locked?..I wasnt aware you had that say so and responsibility?....and if so...getting such a open post locked on such an issue is just plain stupidity.
