It is partly a KC thing as many report dry eyes as a symptom, but it is also a lens thing too due to the gas permeable lenses.
I have found ensuring I drink loads of water and stay properly hydrated helps and before going to places I know the air con is bad I remove my lenses and use lubricating eye drops, then just pop the lens back in.
In the past 3 months I've had absolutly no problems as a result of aircon by following this and my lens wear has constantly been between 12 - 16 hours and at least once every two weeks I go one day without wearing lenses to give the eye a rest.
Hope this helps.

Yes - when we mved into a newly-refurbished building with new air con in a previous job.
Lot sof other people were affected - the building was split between the IT and personnel depts, and many of the young women from Personnel were to be heard in the ladies complaining about their contacts drying out and having to take them out and go back to their glasses.
They wouldn't complain to their boss, though.
I didn't have that option, and did complain, bitterly!! - I think the system was adjusted, but the main result was I got moved out to a portakabin out of range of the new a/c.
Strngly suggest you complain tot he cinema management and try to get them to adjust it. talk about the DDA and how you're a paying customer.
Many theatres - dunno about cinemas, but it wouldn't surprise me - are alleged to keep their auditoria above average woarma nd dry, so as to boost bar sales. This may be fine for their profit margins, but ain't so good for the health.
