Swimming!

Postby Sweet » Wed 17 May 2006 3:05 pm

Ok have just phoned my surgeons receptionist to ask if i can go swimming now. She thinks it is ok as it is nine months post graft but i have asked her to please check for me as i have had too many stitch problems to mess it up now.

Am now waiting around for the phone call back, hopefully with some good news!!

I really hope he says it is ok as I have just booked a weeks holiday to Solvenia in July for my 30th with my twin sister!! It is a week of white water rafting, kayaking and canoeing with a paraglide trip as well!! Hehe just the thing i thought for a 30th, to have a life changing experience!!  :P

I am going to wear goggles which i don't normally do but i don't want to risk getting hit by something while rafting. Any ideas on any good ones i can try?! I will be glad to finally be able to swim again as nine months without swimming four to five times a week has almost killed me!

Ok ... waiting! Sweet X x X

Claire

Have a lovely time. I hope you get the green light for paragliding swimming etc, but suggest you avoid bunjie jumping.

Also, you can take it from me that unadulterated Malibu is to be avoided at all costs AND that Krug has never bottled a bad wine! :D

Yours aye

Andrew

Paragliding you will have no problem with, I did that post graft about the same time you are now. I was also swimming by that time too.

Good luck.

Claire, I use some Speedo goggles. To be honest they are more like glasses, infact they may be called 'swim glasses', but not too sure. They cost about £15. I got mine in John Lewis. They are brill, as they don't push into your eye socket like the small ones do, they have not leaked yet. I bet I look a sight in them, but like you as long as I can swim I really don't care. Hehe thanks everyone for your replies. I still haven't heard from my surgeon but hopefully will soon. Am on the lookout for some goggles, getting really excited now!
