I'm amazed, not only that he can do this but also that he has discovered that he can do it!

I know people who can wiggle their ears, and even slow their heart beat, but none that can produce at will nystagmic movement.

Lynn was talking about moulding eyes for impression sclerals.

Remember it well.... if I'd thought the prospect of getting a scleral lens in, the thought of those little funnel things was something else again.
Oh, happy memories from times gone by....!

But I was under the impression (sorry) that the new rgp materials didn't mould too well - so the individual mouldings approach used for PMMA didn't work for RGP lenses (scleral ones, I'm talking about).
Am I missing something here? - or are your lenses PMMA, Drew?

Cast is done. Unrefracted PMMA lens is then made. This is then fitted. Theres a bit of guess work with the fitting and it gets sent back for machining to adjust the lymbal and corneal clearances. It is then fitted again, when the fit is correct it is then refracted and you try it out. Once the lens fits and is working then an RGP copy of the PMMA one is made.

Think thats how it works - it takes bloody ages been working on mine for nearly 2 years now and still haven't got to the RGP stage.
