Anne...

West Bay hasn't got a wonderful reputation locally, though I have never understood why.

It's had £millions spent on it of late, redeveloping the whole harbour and seafront, and looks fantastic now.

It's a lovely little place to visit...not sure about a week there, but it is nice. It's the venue that they used when filming that BBC series 'Harbour lights'.

As I say, we're dead lucky living just 45-50 minutes away. It's a lovely little trip out of a summer evening or afternoon.

Hehe i worked Saturday and Sunday as on my rota and had Monday off as paid annual leave. I got asked though Sunday morning if i would work it as we were short and i definately couldn't say no! I then got paid three times for one shift! Once on annual leave and twice more as bank holiday is double time!! So all in all i had a good financial weekend if nothing else!!

Has the social gathering got a big tv so I can watch the European F1 Grand Prix from the Nurburgring?
