Well,  I have never been let down by this simple test.  Mind you I have never cut into a pineapple that did not yield its leaf, so maybe they were all ripe, too.
Sll I know is that when the leaf comes away and I have cut the fruit it has been absolutely yummy

Anyone got any other nice fruit that they would like to share here! I love trying new things, and fruit is lovely!
  
 Will be buying another pineapple soon as after eating half of the last one i nicely gave my flatmates the rest as they commented on how nice it smelt in the fridge!!!
