Peter Davison (not Davidson) may have been a Scot, I don't know. I'm friends with (distant) relatives of his, and they're definately all Surrey, but who knows.

Of course, it's not counted as canon, but we HAVE HAD a female Doctor.

It was in the "Curse of the fatal death" story for comic relief. The Doctor was Rowan Atkinson-shaped for most of the story, but a series of accidents left the Doctor looking like Jim Broadbent and Hugh Grant before finally regenerating into Joanna Lumley! :!:

I so wanted to be part of the 'coven' of women in 'Brain of Morbius' as they danced around the fire in cool dresses and elaborate eye make-up. Oh I loved that episode I'm a sucker for talking brains in tanks of bubbling water, and then it was transferred into the Frankenstein-like body-part creature with a huge pincer for a hand I just love the way it lumbers around so damn slowly that you could get away from it if you were in a wheelchair but the women still fall over screaming!!
Good grief!
You see, I'm a Blake's 7 'Servalan' kind of woman, ball breaking vamp with no redeeming features and a good snog!

Y9u are right John: Davison. I just think I read somewhere that he was from Scotland: the Surry connection does not diminish this possibility - Scottish people get evrywhere!

Lou, I used to think that Servelan was really funny! some friends and I drew and wrote a cartoon strip called Blik's Seven while we were at University. Rasied a couple of laughs but never made it to the DC Comic catalogue.
