The whole reason for the poll was to ascertain practicle vision levels after a graft.

Gareths suggestion for a survey (as detailed as possible) seems a good idea.

Well...if your a consultant you need to justify yourself and potentially your workings....so I would suspect that also comes into why many MAY have had grafts prematurely...aswell

There was a time when grafts were 'sold' pretty much as a KC cure when in reality it just makes it easier to correct the sight in most cases.

It was suggested at the 2005 confrence there is conflit between surgeons and contact lens fitters, basically each vying for the patient to keep themselves in work.

From my experience I would disagree with this but i know many who's experiences are the exact opposite.

What you say is exactly what I was reffering to....better known as "empire building!" where I come from....and sadly it does exist.....however since seeing how hard Private CL fitters work, and how little they actually charge when compared against the time/effort they put in; I have since reevaluated my opinion of CL Fitters...although prior I had a open mind!..

Consultants....well......thats a diff story!
