Hhmm well i think i might have stressed a hell of a lot here for good reasons yea! But i was in a lot of pain and was told that yes there were loads of little cells in my right eye which shows inflammation and a very straight line which they were thinking showed the herpes virus. It did feel exactly the same to me as when i was off sick last. If i look at the light without lenses i can still see the little tiny cells floating which i didn't have before this.

On my grafted eye it felt exactly the same so that was up to my surgeon to decide although i think it probably was the virus looking the same. As he wasn't concerned neither was i, i was more worried about my 'good' eye and not being able to wear lenses.

Maybe i did just catch it dam early for once? I put maxidex drops in straight away as soon as i woke up and was in pain. An hour later i was seen by my surgeon. As everything was fine the night before and having taken my lenses out early i stayed up until very late, it only had about six hours to take over! Maybe it was just one of those times when getting in quick really helps and i did get aciclovir tablets and cream this time which i used for ten days before being seen yesterday.Last time i just had steroid drops and dilating ones. I find this all hard to believe as well and asked to see my notes at Moorfields yesterday where it is written ?iritis ?HSV ?? I can only say what it feels like, i'm not looking at my eye to write that.

I'm not too sure, but right now i am trying not to stress. I never lost faith in those seeing me though, it was more in my eyesight in general!

Yes, I think that in all cases where our eyes are concerned, speed is certainly of the essence. I'm sure Sweet's speedy nature here really did help to nip whatever-it-was in the bud.

Maybe that's an advantage to being stressed!

Good news for you Claire.

Hope it is all still going well.

best wishes, Susan
don't let the people that mean nothing to you get you down, because in the end they are worth nothing to you, they are just your obstacles in life to trip you up!
