Wow GREAT news!!!!!!!!

Postby Sweet » Mon 20 Mar 2006 11:50 pm

Ok ok to those who already know i did say that i wouldn't post until i was sure that things were ok, but am so dam excited that i just have to share it!! LOL!!

Popped along to Moorfields today to check on how things are. For the FIRST time ever i only waited an hour and a half and there were only five patients in front of me! Yes that's right FIVE!! What happened?!! It was Monday afternoon but it was very nicely quiet for once!!

Anyway REALLY good news is that there is NO problem! Everything looks fine, grafted eye and all!! The stitches are fine, there is no sign of rejection, there is no sign of iritis / herpes or an ulcer and i've been given the all clear to go away and check in with my surgeon when i can! When my eye got tested unaided my grafted one came up as seeing better than my other eye which was odd. I was thinking that my 'good' eye had gotten a lot worse but she was thinking that my grafted eye has just got better and i was comparing them!

She did tell me that you have very strange eyes in that you confused your surgeon, the two opthalmologists who saw me last week who were very sure i had the HS virus and her in after looking through my notes and examing me finding nothing! As i never heal fast and my eyes are always way behind i am greatly impressed!

So now i have decided to be really good, only put my lens in for an hour and a half and going to build it up this week by two hours a day. Am working Thursday and Friday but they will either have to take me on reduced hours or pay me for two twelve hour days sick pay. As i am working nights next week i really need to build up wearing time so for once am going to try to be good.

So good news for once! FINALLY! Am really hoping that you are all in a good place as well. Take care ... Sweet X x X

thats realy goods news!!

So is it correct to say that you may have got yourself wound up last week and maybe self diagnosed the worse case scenario?...as I find it hard to believe that 3 class Opthamologists said you either had Iritis, Herpes and Rejection!!.......and days later they say you dont have either!......and more to the point your own consultant not seeing you and thinking that your "rejection" was of concern

Time to take that long over chill pill. stay focused and get a positive frame of mind!...as I think that many who may have read your posts and followed this episode will assume the worse and lose confidence in Moorefields and opthams........all entirely under erroneous circumstances....

(put it down to stress!:-))

PS - Yes I'm telling you off! :-) no more eggs for you!
