The next meeting will be on April 8th, 2006 at 11am at Birmingham & Midland Eye Centre, Outpatients Dept.,City Road, Birmingham.

oh i can't make that day we're away camping that weekend in sandringham :-(

would like to have heard what she can recommend, if one of you that does make it posts her views on here afterwards that would be very kind of you 8)

:( I turned up on saturday only to find or not!! that no staff knew where the meet was or had heard of it
I arrived 11.25 a kind receptionist in A&E rang security who advised me where it could be.Post grad (where an exam was going on) or boardroom (which was empty)
After 20 mins of searching and asking had to give up.
Was the meet still on if so where was it?
It would have been helpful if a notice was put up or staff on reception (not that there were any) were notified of KC meetings
As I have other commitments I have only been to one other meet last yr and after catching 3 buses 2 1/2hrs travelling on Saturday I felt so disappointed

What a shame you had a wasted trip!
The meeting did take place as in the Birmingham and West Midlands Eye Centre as advertised. It sounds like you ended up in City Hospital itself which is on the same site!

I had to sortout a new place for my dogs to go on holiday at short notice so could not make it.

Jacqui is my optometrist, so I already had been told most of the tips already, but some people did not seem to have been so well advised. Things like different cleaning solutions, lubricating drops, wearing strategies and lid hygiene were covered. Handouts were available - someone maybe able to forward you a copy if you want more details (sorry I didn't get one!)
