I was back at work after six weeks. Would have been sooner but my ophthalmologist didn't truyst me not to bet into the thick of things and strt lifting heavy stuff.

he was probably right.

I did not get back to driving until November 2005 after surgery in december 2003

Just a quick one

after the graft which was just over 3 weeks ago i have avoided putting water on the grafted eye and the doctor said i could have a full bath etc when i saw him at the 2 week follow up.

others here have stated avoiding water on the eye

what are poples experiences re this post graft

secondly when did your other eye get used to the grafted eye as mine is so sore when i put the RGP lens in so i don bother now. will this get better?

I think it is always good advice to avoid water on the actual eye, but things like face washing with closed eyes would probably not be too much of a challenge.

I normally try to avoid getting soapy water too close to my eyes, but I bathe my eyelids with warm water, boiled and then cooled.
