I can see where the thinking comes from. I've just started to wear lenses. Just taken them out now after having worn them for about three hours and my eyesight is still better than it was when i put the lenses in earlier. Presumably the cornea is retaining the shape that the lenses moulded it to.

The effects don't last that long though....

Like you, I used to notice that when my lenses (RGP Corneals) came out my sight was almost as good as when they were in. The benefit was spent after about half an hour.

I am wondering whether a combination of Orthokeratology and C3R would be any benefit, and I think I'll ask my ophthalmologist when I see him at the end of the month.

My guess is that he'll tell me that my left (ungrafted) cornea is such a mess that there is nothing to do but transplant new material in its place. If he thinks there is any mileage in the suggestion, I'll let you all know.

Thank you very much for your replies. I wasn't aware of the specific techniques you are mentioning. It will be very interesting to do some research. Also the info about NHS is very important to me. Thank you very much

All the best
Yiannis
