Joking apart, it might be a good diea to have, somewhere on the site, a gallery of pictures of different sorts of graft even Intacs or C3R at different stages in recovery.

Probably best not in the Forum, but someplace.

Definately.....but I guess there will be a cost implication if we want the Site to host the pictures........but if its non-hosting than I guess it cant be that difficult.....just more things for John lol....bless him!

Yes it would be good to have a seperate gallery of photos of grafts, hydrops, lens, all of it. Perhaps those with digital cameras might offer to take pictures of willing subjects at events/meetings too.

The site would not need to be the host for the pictures. They could be stored remotely and have links posted. I think this is how Knight manages to do all those clever things, and Per even posted a picture of the Hemingway novel the old man and the sea.

Ask your surgeon/optometrist next time. Mine takes pictures through his microscope. Then he send them to me by e-mail. Very good idea to have a gallery. Perhaps the kind that let users add pictures themselves and then site admin ( John ) put them in the correct theme gallery. I see the forum accept images as web-links. Perhaps the best way ?

Oooh fantastic.

I will be doing some pics of mine on a fairly frequent basis, will probably just bung them into my blog as I intend to keep a diary as things progress.

Just need to remember to do the "before" shot in the next couple of weeks.

:-)

So suggestions for the self portrait technique would be good.

Excellent! I'm on the hunt for some pics for the revamped main site I'm working on (slowly) at the moment. I don't think that hosting them will be an issue, either.

Any photos by email to webmaster@keratoconus-group.org.uk will be very welcome. Please do tell me exactly what it's a picture of though, or captioning tens of photos could be prone to error!

I use a free system called http://www.photobucket.com to upload my pictures. It automatically gives the code links you can then just cut and paste the link into your post.

I beleive this means there is practically no extra space taken up on the host server.

I use the Mac iDisc facility. Like Gareth I get the http and can add links with great ease.

Probelm is I don;t have any gruesome pictures of my eyes with or without sutures.
