Arts & Grafts

Postby Per » Mon 06 Mar 2006 5:19 pm

Hi, there.

Thought I should post some self taken pictures of the two wonders in my eyes. Just to encourage those waiting for a graft and read that horrifying article about the greek boy at Moorfields.

Image

Entire right eye. You see the neat stithces and the knot holding it all together.

Image

A little off focus. But the graft becomes clearer every day.

So a shot from my oldes graft. You see the tissue, but it is as clear as the rest of the eye. KC gone forever......

Any others who would like to share graft images ?

PS I would share mine, but I don't have a camera. I'll try with my phone, but am not sure how successful that will be.

John is modeling a DALK in his right eye. Notice the perfect circle of sutures that hold his new tissue in close association with his own endothelium.

Next comes Andrew with a 2003 model PK in his right eye. Se how the rustic simplicity of this technique is given particular expression by the broken stitch at 3.00 o'clock.

Now we see Louise ...

That the sort of thing you mean?
